David E.
Schuppert was born and raised in Montgomery County near suburban Philadelphia. He
studied art at the Studio School of Art & Design and the School of Art and Design,
both of Philadelphia. These drawings were created by
Schuppert during the summer of 1975 while on vacation from Bob Jones University. He
personally visited each bridge in order to capture a feeling for its character and
setting. The sketches are not only a great tribute to Columbia County and its beautiful
surroundings, but also to the talent of a young artist.

in a presentation folder, is available from the Columbia-Montour Tourist Promotion Agency.
